Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact and carbon footprint by incorporating sustainability into our design processes. We strive for carbon-neutral operations while prioritising the well-being of our employees, fostering responsible practices in our supply chain, and contributing positively to society.
We focus on all people around us. In 2025, we initiate the process to obtain the Great Place to Work certificate and continue supporting charities promoting good mental health, fighting poverty and enhancing quality education.
By focusing on recycled and renewable materials, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our product designs with 25% by 2035 and replace 100% of our packaging materials with recycled or recyclable materials by 2030.
We only use renewable electricity and aim for 100% net-zero emissions for both our scope 1 and 2 by 2030. Furthermore, we will reduce the carbon footprint of our product designs (as our most important scope 3-emission) with 30% by 2035.
We aspire to ensure a responsible supply chain with respect for social rights and the environment and want all our Tiers 1 suppliers and our nominated Tier 2 suppliers to be third-party audited by 2030.
Did you know that we support various social projects, such as PsychoseNet, YouthStart, Goods to Give and many more?
Cortina is a proud member of EcoVadis, a third-party certification system evaluating companies based on their environmental impact, labour practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We aim to obtain the Gold-certificate soon!
Social Compliance
Our responsibility extends beyond our own operations; we also require our suppliers to respect social and environmental standards.
We want to encourage our supply chain to join reliable, third-party compliance systems such as BSCI, SMETA and OEKO-TEX. Our goal is to establish long-term, positive relationships with suppliers who are committed to these standards.
By 2030, we aim for all our Tier 1 suppliers (direct suppliers) and nominated Tier 2 suppliers (indirect suppliers whom we select ourselves because they provide essential materials to our direct suppliers) to join one of the above-mentioned systems.
Instead of ending relationships with suppliers who are hesitant to join, we will focus on motivating and assisting them to meet our standards. This approach helps ensure sustainable and positive outcomes for everyone involved, including the employees within the supply chain.
